4K resolution is hereThis powerful NVR is capable of recording smooth 4K video in real-time (30 frames per second) on all eight channels. Continuous, scheduled, and motion recording optionsThe NR900 Series NVR is able to record security footage in three different ways. You can record footage continuously, during scheduled times, or when movement is detected. These recording modes can be customized with each camera as well, which means that you can program higher activity cameras to record all of the time while lower activity cameras can be set up to record only on motion events or during the night. It is important to know that there is a pre-recording function when choosing motion recording. This means that the NVR will go back to record the five seconds before the motion is detected, ensuring that you will never miss those first few vital moments of movement.

Automatic hard drive overwriteYou will never have to worry about hard drive management with the NR900 Series NVR. It is programmed to automatically overwrite the oldest footage as the newest footage comes in.

3 ways to backup footage There are a few different ways to backup footage with the NR900 Series NVR. First of all, you can use an external USB flash drive or hard drive to back-up the data of your internal hard drive. The second option is to remotely backup your footage to an FTP server. The third option is the RAID 0 function. To understand this function, it is important to note that every NR900 NVR comes with two internal hard drive bays. The first bay will always be used by your main hard drive, while the second bay is open for you to add an additional hard drive too. This allows you to expand the total amount of hard drive space or you can use the RAID 0 to backup the footage from the main hard drive. The RAID function works like this: the 2TB hard drive in the first bay (your main hard drive) can be combined with another hard drive (up to 6TB) in the second internal bay. Then you can set up mirror recording to the second bay. The first 2TB's of data on the secondary hard drive will be exactly the same as the 2TB hard drive. However, as the first hard drive starts to overwrite its footage, the second hard drive will keep that older footage until all 6TB's are filled before it starts to overwrite its footage. This allows for much longer backup times.

Power failure auto-recovery This NVR has an auto-recovery function that will automatically reboot if there is a power outage. This means you don't have to do a thing - it will simply start recording again within minutes of regaining power. It also includes a Watch Dog feature that is continuously monitoring the system for potential system errors. If Watch Dog ever detects a critical error, it will automatically restart the NVR and start recording again. This helps ensure system stability, keeps your cameras recording, and prevents future system failures.

Ready for the Future with IPv6 support Every computer or device connected to the internet has a specific IP (Internet Protocol) address. It is through these unique addresses that devices can communicate to each other. Since the inception of the internet, these addresses have been using a standard system called IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4). These addresses, however, have been depleted since it only supports 4.3 billion addresses. This is why your NR900 Series NVR supports Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), the next generation of the IP address standard. This standard, compared to IPv4, will support 340 trillion, trillion, trillion IP addresses! Eventually, IPv6 will replace IPv4 altogether, but you won't have to worry as your NVR has been engineered to support both types of IP addresses. This NVR also supports other important internet protocols, including HTTP, TCP/IP, UPNP, RTSP, UDP, SMTP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, PPPOE, DDNS, and FTP.
